Calling All Worms

 Calling Worms
Since our Spring outdoor play has consisted mostly of digging up worms, I thought Calling Worms might be an interesting activity.
In loose soil, place a stick 12 inches underground and rub with another stick.
It's said this teases worms into thinking there are predators under the soil and they surface.
Waiting For Worms
There is also a more direct way of delving for worms.
Digging them up.
We couldn't last the two whole minutes of rubbing sticks, so we got our shovels and turned the soil over, after a long night of thunderstorms.
