Rainbow Colour Match

ROY G BIV is the acronym to remember the order of rainbow colours.
Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, iris, violet.
We took these colours (minus the iris) and created a Shades Colour Match activity with left over paint chip samples

 Four Shades

Our 'red's' and 'orange's' were very similar and proved to be the trickiest to match.
Baby C needed some separation; she chose which colour strip to work with and I handed her the four corresponding clothespins to attach.
Since she is working her fine motor skills, she had the extra challenge of pinching the pin open.

O on the other hand, was happy to sweep a handful of random pins and sort through them before matching.
