Paper Magic: Crepe Paper Pendants

Babble Dabble Do featured these sweet Valentines pendants http://babbledabbledo.com/paper-crafts-paper-pulp-pendants/
We had a bag of torn rainbow crepe paper perfect for the project.
Once it's soaked in warm water, it makes for a mushy mess; lots of sensory fun!

We packed and pressed the wet paper into our IKEA heart mold.

It took a total of two days to dry out completely. The pendants are super light-weight!
We have yet to purchase Modge Podge, so we made our own batch for sealing the paper in place. https://mamadrool.blogspot.ca/2012/06/emotion-rocks.html

A needle wouldn't poke through the overlapping paper fibres, so we had to drill tiny holes to thread ribbon and beads.
