Watercolour Ice

It's Ice Week.
We had to wait for the weather to return to 'seasonal' after a warm weekend. I think it's safe to say we can begin our Ice Week activities looking at the forecast for the coming days!

We began with a tray of water colour ice cubes that have been waiting in the freezer.
O has been anticipating this activity since finding them on a snack hunt!

Since we used food colouring to tint the cubes, skin was stained and O was eager to know it wouldn't last a lifetime.
Baby C had Smurf paws by the time she was finished her work.

O lined up some hearts and used another piece to write while they melted designs on her paper.
Her favourite thing to spell?
Harry Potter!

This would definitely be classed as process art; good messy fun.
