Snowball Garland: Anthropologie Love

Pom Pom love is back.
My granny made Pom Poms for tuque's and dollies, but it happens to be trendy once again, courtesy of brands like 'Anthropologie' http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/product/33240458.jsp?cm_mmc=pinterest-_-product-_-share-_-33240458#/

We scored at the local thrift shop, with several balls of chunky beige yard (with beautiful flaxen flecks!) and three strands of red wooden beads for a total of $6.

Instead of my Granny's Pom Pom method; the Old Cardboard Circles (which can be a little grueling when making so many) we found a 'Fork Method' that was easy enough for O to tackle on her own.

Step One. Wrap yarn horizontally around a fork.
Step Two. Tie a piece of yarn tightly around the center.
Step Three. Remove the bundle from the fork and cut the rounded ends.

Step Four. Trim like a Chia Pet!

Step Five. Roll the bundle in your hands to form a ball.

After a few Fork Rounds, I came across an even more productive method!

Once we had a good 25 pom poms trimmed and ready, I braided a long garland for attaching.
