McDougall Cottage Christmas

The McDougall Cottage is closing for the winter and had their Christmas Party open house for the community. We arrived late in the day to a quiet cottage, empty art table and resident musician.

They set out supplies for families to create a tea light votive, complete with glass jars, glittered glue and scraps of tissue paper.

McDougall is one of the Waterloo Regions set of cultural museums.
The home is the house of a former Scottish family that has been carefully restored for public events.
They hold monthly activities for families to tea, eat, craft and enjoy musical entertainment.
In summer months, every Sunday night they hold a Piping Down ceremony

Winter Votive
