Make Way for Duck(lings)

The cutest feathered couple graced our front porch early morning.
They waddled up from the local pond several blocks away in search of food and hit jackpot on our porch with the chipmunks, squirrels and birds who feast daily!

We moved in nearly one year ago and around the same time, a daddy duck was waddling around our neighbourhood. I suspect it's baby season and they are fresh from a sparsely fed winter.

O & Baby C saddled up to one another with front-row seating.
Here Baby C is being lectured on how to be quiet, which is no fun and not very possible for her.

 Duck Demo

She gave a very decent Duck Demonstration, before pouting when they left the premises!

Hard to say Good-Bye!

Make Way for Ducklings. Once I started reading Robert McCloskey's books I was hooked. Maybe his most famous is 'Blueberries for Sal', but my personal pick is 'Time of Wonder', which lathers on the nostalgia of childhood summers.
Despite how long ago Make Way for Ducklings was written, it continues to be a classic. A duck family looking for the right place to settle in the city, prior to welcoming babies.
